Boipeba
Boipeba Island is the quintessential tropical island, remarkable for its rare natural beauty and the variety of its ecosystems, host to surviving areas of the Atlantic Forest, extensive mangroves and idyllic palm-tree fringed beaches. The island's remote location, with access by boat only has safeguarded Boipeba traditions and its great natural splendor. The pace of life is slow, everything brings to mind the simple life of a community that was relatively isolated as little as 20 years ago. Boipeba's open and friendly population live in the island's four settlements spread throughout the island. Long relaxing beach walks, great snorkeling, river and mangrove trips, inland treks are the essence of time spent here. A hammock and a good book round off how days are best spent here.
